La Boca 2009 Annual Meeting With Special Speaker Joel Salatin

The LBCS Staff and Board of Directors have been working hard to plan for this next coming growing season as well as for the future for LBCS. An updated strategic plan, spearheaded by ED Chester Anderson is taking shape, mapping out the refinements of the vision for the center. This strategic plan will be shared with the public at the Annual Meeting this March along with ways you can continue to partner with us to help make the strategic plan a reality.
La Boca is excited to announce that Mr. Joel Salatin will be the featured speaker for the Annual Meeting!
Mr. Joel Salatin has been featured in BusinessWeek.com and the New York Times for his highly successful Polyface Farms and he is featured in Michael Pollan’s book “The Omnivores Dilemma.” Mr. Salatin is author of a number of books on sustainable and alternative farming techniques. His latest book titled “Everything I Want To Do Is Illegal: War Stories From the Local Food Front” are about the battles that he has had to engage in to be a successful, small, local producer.
Mr Salatin will be available for signing his latest book that will also be for sale at the event.

$20.00 for a Seedling Membership to LBCS and free access to the Annual Meeting and Joel’s talk.
